Saturday morning on the Farm
Scott Brown and the Internet
The Farm is in hibernation. The barn will need its midwinter cleanout today seeing as the cows do not stop eating and…well, you know what. The hens are working hard every day for our customers who appreciate the quality of a fresh farm egg. My family and I certainly are spoiled by the bounty that our farm produces for us and our extended family of customers from fresh eggs to broiler chickens, grass fed beef and seasonal vegetables. It is a lot of work, but well worth it for our health and the enjoyment of our friends.
The big news of the week has got to be the incredible run US Senate candidate Scott Brown has had in Massachusettes. The evidence that the world of campaigning has changed for ever is in his campaign and ours as we make use of the greatest feat of technological achievement in the past 20 years. The Internet has revolutionized communication, and thus campaigning so positively that now all of us, you and I, have the ability to join our political process and get involved with very little money, but a large desire to speak our mind and have our voices heard.
Scott Brown’s campaign is a lesson to all of us that local elections can be national events if the message is important enough for folks to want to participate. We have had support from all over the district, and continue to build that support every day. I am so excited that Scott is doing so well, because, whether he wins or not, the power of the people is alive and well and building across this great nation. By speaking out in small ways through contributions over the internet Scott Brown’s supporters have shown how to make a difference right from their homes.
I feel that this campaign is part of that great movement sweeping across America, where regular folks have had enough of Washington’s corruption and are speaking out to get us Back to the Basics this country was founded on.
Please help us continue the fight. www.savardforcongress.com
